Course Progression Scaled To Performing Grade Level Is Designed To Maximize Performance

Students are placed into appropriate level based on writing skills demonstrated on an initial diagnostic placement test.

Writing prompts of increasing complexity spanning Narrative, Descriptive, Expository, Transactional (formal business letter and resume writing), Persuasive and Report Writing genres are assigned through out the course progression

Reading assignments spanning all the important genres and writing styles are assigned weekly to provide exposure to the various writing constructs

Definitions and contextual usage of new vocabulary are continuosusly reviewed
